Popularly known as the Government Art Museum, the Napier Museum is a well-known attraction in Trivandrum and is one of the oldest Museum in India. It was established in the year 1857 by the erstwhile Maharaja, Uthram Thirunal. A unique feature of this Museum is that it has its own natural air-conditioning system. This architectural marvel is named after the former Governor General of Madras, John Napier and is a perfect blend of Indian, Kerala, Chinese, and Mughal Schools of Architecture.
