Detailed Day Wise Itinerary - Weekend Tour

  • Day 01 : Arrive Cochin – Munnar

    Cochin - Thattekad

    On arrival at Cochin Airport you will be received by our company representative. He/She will then introduce you to your drive and your Weekend Kerala tour starts. Start off with a drive to Munnar – the most fascinating hill station of Kerala. On the way take a short break at Valera and Cheeyappara Waterfalls. Continue driving to Munnar and check into the hotel. Time is free to relax and to enjoy on your own.

  • Day 02 : Munnar Sightseeing

    Thattekad - Cochin

    Today post breakfast get ready for a fascinating experience amidst the misty hills and sprawling tea plantations of Munnar. Visit the Rajamala Peak and the Eravikulam National Park, one of the most famous national parks in India famous for the Nilgiri Tahr [Mountain goat]. Later visit the Tea Museum (closed on Mondays) where you will have a brief demonstration on the history of tea in Munnar, tea processing, exporting etc. Munnar, being the tea land, a walk along the Tea plantations is must. Try a leisurely stroll along the verdant tea plantations and exchange few words with tea plantation workers to know more about their day to day life. Next up visit the Mattupetty Dam where you have options to try boating which is a recommended activity especially if you are travelling with your family with kids. Finish off your day with a visit to the Echo Point.

  • Day 03 : Munnar - Alleppey

    Cochin - Alleppey

    Today post breakfast drive to the most famous destination in Kerala, the Alleppey backwaters. On reaching Alleppey hop into a custom houseboat at 12noon. A houseboat is the best way to enjoy the gorgeous chain of backwaters in Alleppey. Experience the bliss floating along the shimmering waterways of Alleppey as you come across verdant paddy fields, local life of Alleppey, toddy shops and the palm fringed countryside. Please note all meals will be provided inside the houseboat prepared exclusively for you by the houseboat crew. It will be local Kerala cuisine and in case you have any specific recommendations please let us know and our houseboat crew will be more than happy to serve you your favourite food.

  • Day 04 : Alleppey - Cochin Departure

    Alleppey

    After breakfast disembark the houseboat by 9am, from where you will be transferred to Cochin Airport as per your departure schedule. If time permits, do the local sightseeing of Fort Cochin area en-route. The Dutch Palace, the Jewish Synagogue, the St. Francis Church and the Chinese Fishing Nets are the major highlights of this heritage city of Kerala.
