Thrissur - Kollengode Palace

Kollengode Palace

Kollengode Palace is a heritage museum of Thrissur. In 1904, Vasudeva Raja who was the last ruler of Kollengode constructed this palace and gifted it to his daughter. Later, the Department of Archaeology acquired this palace in 1975 and converted it into an archaeological museum. Kollengode Palace is a perfect blend of traditional Kerala architecture with western design. The floor of the Palace is adorned by Italian marble and tiles which were imported from England. The wooden roof adds extra charm to the Palace. Kollengode Palace also houses a mural art museum which preserves several murals and arts that hail from all over Kerala.
