Chellarkovil is a tiny sleepy village which is said to be the best tourist spot in Idukki which attracts a lot of tourists from all over the world. This beautiful place stands at a height of 200 meters above sea level and is famous for its cascading waterfalls, lush green mountains, picturesque beauty and breathtaking view of the plains. This tiny village of Chellarkovil borders the famous coconut groves of Cumbum in neighboring Tamil Nadu. A mind-blowing feature of the Chellarkovil waterfall is that it begins to fall from Kerala and touches the land in Tamil Nadu. There is a watchtower at Chellarkovil which has a telescope placed on the balcony, known as 'God's own balcony' that offers a spectacular view of sunrise and sunset.
