Kozhikode - Sweet Street (Mithai Theruvu)

Apart from being a sweet street, the Mithai Theruvu in Kozhikode is the business hub of the city. It is a narrow street having a row of shops on either side. Everything is available on this street from confectioneries to textiles to stationary to jewellery to building materials and so on at cheap prices. Mithai Theruvu got its name from the famous sweet known as "Kozhikodan Halwa" which is available here. And these Halwas are of different flavors and different colors. A lot of street foods are also available here and many people visit this street to taste the original and raw flavor of these street foods. Another specialty of this street is its freshly fried banana chips.
