Kovalam - Alleppey Beach

The 30-meter high red and white striped Lighthouse that stands tall on a rocky headland is the most striking feature of the Lighthouse Beach in Kovalam. The Lighthouse Beach is set amidst the palm-covered Kurumkal Hill and is the largest beach among the three beaches in Kovalam. This beach is known for paragliding, parasailing, surfing, wooden boat ride and motorboat ride which makes it a favourite beach among the beach bums and the adventure seekers. Climbing the spiraling staircase of this 118 feet high lighthouse is a thrilling experience and the spectacular view of the surroundings from the top is really amazing.
