The Arakkal Museum in Kannur is a grand one which is dedicated to the Arakkal family which is the only Muslim royal family in Kerala. And it was the former residence of the Arakkal Ali Rajas. This beautiful architectural marvel is a reliable testimony to the flawless Muslim architecture and design. This building which is now a museum was once the Durbar Hall where the King and the nobles met for official gathering. The major exhibits of this Museum are the artefacts and heirlooms of the royal family that includes the royal copies of the Holy Quran, telescope, an old-fashioned telephone, document box, family seal and so on.
