Priyadarshini Planetarium in Trivandrum is the first hybrid Planetarium in India with a tilted dome which was opened to the public in 1994. The main aim of establishing this Planetarium is to popularize science and technology to the general public as well as teach them the secrets of the universe. This Planetarium presents live Astronomy classes as well as education plus entertainment film shows. The main GM-11 starfield projector of the Planetarium is capable of projecting almost all the visible constituents of the Universe. The star-studded night sky can also be simulated over any location on the earth by this projector. It is the perfect place to gain knowledge regarding mysteries of our universe and the solar system.
